Karndean is fantastic smooth floor product, designed to replicate wood, tiles, and other designer floors such as Limestone and Slate. It is incredibly realistic, but also has the distinct advantage of being totally waterproof, and is not as cold to the touch as tiles or stone. If you select Karndean as your floor, you can create your own bespoke design, using any number of the borders, feature strips, and design tiles. Karndean is ideal for Kitchens, Bathrooms, Conservatories, but is now being installed in every room in the house. It is an excellent alternative to the real thing, but is far more easily cleaned and maintained.

Knight Tile is the cheapest Karndean product, and is available in 24 tile designs, and 21 wood plank designs. The tiles are 305mm x 305mm, and the planks are 915mm x 102mm. This product has a guarantee of 12 years in domestic locations, and a thickness of 2mm.

Renoir is the next product up from Knight Tile, and is available in 12 tile designs, and 8 wood plank designs. The sizes of the products vary, and include the random sized, and best selling Atlantic Slate. The product has a guarantee of 15 years in domestic locations, and a thickness of 2.5mm

Michelangelo is a heavily textured product, and includes mosaic, pebble-dash and metallic treadplate designs. The tiles are 305mm x 305mm or 406mm x 406mm for the metallic designs, whilst the wood planks are 915mm x 152mm. The product has a 12 year guarantee in domestic locations, and a minimum thickness of 2mm

Van Gogh is a fantastic alternative to a wooden floor. It is available in 16 wood plank designs, all at 1219mm x 178mm, and all incredibly realistic. The product has a thickness of 2.5mm, and a 15 year guarantee in residential locations.

Da Vinci is the best quality Karndean product, having a 20 year guarantee in residential locations, and a thickness of 3mm. Most of the products (27 tiles and 18 wood planks) have a bevelled edge, giving a more realistic appearance. The planks are mostly 915mm x 76mm, and the tiles are mostly either 305mm x 305mm, 406mm x 406mm, or 457mm x305mm. Please ask for details.

We offer a full installation, estimating and planning service for all Karndean products. As with all specialist flooring, we highly recommend having your Karndean floor professionally installed. Karndean will not accept any claims on the guarantee if the product has not been properly installed.

As with all smooth floors, it is vital that the sub-floor that is to receive the Karndean is flat, smooth, and dry. We will undertake a full check of your sub-floor as part of the estimating service, and advise you of any remedial action that is required prior to installation. Karndean will not accept any claims under their guarantee if the sub-floor has not been prepared correctly prior to installation.

It is vital that your Karndean floor is maintained correctly after installation. The Karndean will be supplied with a glossy surface protector - this should be removed using the Karndean stripper 3-5 days after installation. You should apply the Karndean 'Dim Glow' protector to the floor - which is essentially the same as the 'glossy' protector - but with a matt finsh. Once this is applied the Karndean cleaner should be used to clean the floor on a daily/ weekly basis. Normal detergents and cleaners should not be used. All of these products, together with felt furniture pads and a mop applicator are supplied in the Karndean Clean start pack, which will be detailed on your quotation. Failure to use Karndean's cleaning and maintainence products may invalidate the guarantee on your floor.
